When deciding which type of conditioner you will be applying to your hair, you first need to analyze your hair. Carefully examine the hair and note any signs of dryness, breakage, thinning, etc. If your hair feels healthy, try to incorporate both protein and moisture in your regimen. This will keep your hair both moisturized and strong. However, if you notice any signs of dryness, breakage, or thinning, here are a few helpful tips to get you back on track!

  • Symptom: My hair feels weak, thin, and lifeless when dry. When wet it is mushy or overly elastic!
  • Solution: You need more protein! We recommend a light to medium protein deep conditioner such as Aveda Damage Remedy Conditioner. You may also want to try a leave-in conditioner in order to protect your hair during heat styling, while adding strength and body to your hair. We suggest AG Products Fast Food. Incorporate these conditioners in your regimen until hair is noticeably stronger and healthy. Try to avoid excessive heat and manipulation for a least a month. Trim hair as needed.

  • Symptom: My hair breaks easily when dry and is lacks luster. When wet, my hair feels hard and brittle!
  • Solution: You need moisture! We recommend pre-pooing and a deep conditioning treatment. You'll want to use a great moisturizing conditioner such as Crème of Nature Nourishing Conditioner. Within weeks you will start to notice that your hair has regained its elasticity and is healthy and shiny. Be sure to reduce the amount of heat applied to the hair. Use a little coconut oil daily to maintain the moisture in the hair.
